Car Charger September 6, 2010 my5critters The price was great & the charger was shipped quickly. Works well with my iPhone 3G; it also charges my 5th generation iPod. However it does not fit my iPhone if my Otterbox case is on. Unfortunately, I have to take apart & remove the Otterbox case, which is a hassle. So, now I've got to find a car charger that fits while the case is on.
Cheap, but works. August 26, 2010 Leslie Jill Aldridge (Killen, Alabama (BFE)) This product cost was very low and I wasn't expecting it to work, but it did :)
Worthless to me August 18, 2010 Whiteduramax Bought 2, one for me and one for my wife. Both are worthless because we use and otterbox and the profile from the OB case and the charger are different. I'll be d@mn if I'm going to remove my phone from my OB to charge. Saw another comment that had the same problem. Wish I would have seen it before ordering this. Should have been in the item detail.
It's cheap and will eventually fall apart (are you surprised?) August 13, 2010 Pedro Pablo (New Haven, CT) Everyone knows $20 is way too much for a cheap piece of electronics made in China (i.e., an Apple-branded car charger), which is why you go to Amazon to buy a charger without the Apple brand. Of course, three bucks is too little for anything but a really poorly made piece of junk. I decided to try the junk and it lasted for about four months, surviving about 40 times being plugged in and unplugged, before disintegrating into a half dozen pieces that I had to delicately extract from my iPhone. Is it worth it to buy six of these pieces of junk that will cumulatively last about as long or maybe a little longer than the slightly more expensive pieces of junk with an Apple brand? Your call. I think I'm going to upgrade slightly in quality with the hope that I won't have to replace it as often (and reduce my junk electronic landfill contributions), but I still refuse to pay Apple prices...
iPhone car charger August 4, 2010 elmtree I recieved the charger much faster than I expected to. It is in perfect, working condition, but the product itself does not fit with the OtterBox case on the phone. I gave it away, so no big deal, but I was disappointed.
