Pretty good, for the price September 16, 2008

I had originally purchased this case to protect my iPhone while I waited for a custom ordered Vaja ivolution case to be made, but I think I'm going to keep it for a while.
The construction seems durable enough, although the outside of the case doesn't look, feel or smell anything like leather. If anything it seems like a synthetic rubber. It says it's made of leather on the outside of the box, but that just doesn't seem right. Regardless, it's definitely a step up from the silicon gel cases.
It feels like my phone is really well protected in this case, and it's much easier to grip as well. When I first got my iPhone and was using it without a case, there were a couple of times when I almost dropped it when using it because the plastic is so slippery. Not anymore.
The screen protector that came with it is actually pretty good. I wasn't even going to try it until I saw that it was the static cling kind that doesn't use adhesive and that I had nothing to lose. It's a lot easier to apply than other screen protectors and doesn't interfere with the use of the device. It also doesn't interfere with the display except for maybe at extreme viewing angles.
My only little gripes about this case are that it only comes in black (boring,) and that it doesn't seem like real leather.
For an ivolution clone, it's pretty good for a fraction of the price, although no where near the quality of leather of the original.
